我不关心你的过往和出身，只在乎你是否愿意同我一起站在火焰的中心

今天的推送和往常有些不同，因为这是我的第一次中英双语朗读，还是一首长诗。并且，这次朗读中，我放弃了自己熟悉的美式发音，改用了稍带点英式的口音，以更好配合原诗的韵律，希望大家喜欢。

人们常说，交人交心，作为好朋友，我希望用我的声音走进你们的心灵。你们来自世界各地，有着不同的年龄和相貌，性格和喜好，但这些并不是我最关心的。我最关心的是什么呢？答案就在今天的这篇诗文里，它的名字叫《生活的邀请函》，来自加拿大女性Oriah Mountain Dreamer.

The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.

 

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love ，for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

 

It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.

 

I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it ，or fade it, or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human.

 

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon.

 

It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.

 

It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

 

It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

你为生存做些什么，我不关心；

我想知道你的渴求，

你是否敢于梦想去满足内心的渴望。

你的年龄有多大，我不关心；

我想知道，为了爱，为了梦，为了生气勃勃的奇遇，

你是否愿意像傻瓜一样冒险。

是什么磨圆了你的棱角，我不关心；

我想知道，你是否触碰过自己受伤的心，

是否因生活辜负过你而变得豁达，

抑或因为害怕更多的痛苦而变得消沉和封闭。

我想知道，你是否能痛苦着我的痛苦而不是避开它，躲着它。

我想知道，你是否能欢乐着我的欢乐，

是否能狂舞一曲，让快乐溢满你的指尖和脚趾，

而不是告诫我们要小心，要现实，要记住做人的局限。

你说的是真是假，我不关心；

我想知道，你是否为了忠实于自己而敢于令他人失望，

是否能承受背叛的指责而不出卖自己的灵魂；

是否能做到诚实可靠从而值得信赖。

我想知道你是否能领略美，

是否因为生命的存在而追溯生命的起源；

我想知道你能否身处逆境，却仍然站在湖边，

对着银色的月光喊道“真美”。

你在哪里生活、拥有多少金钱，我并不关心；

我想知道，在一个悲伤、绝望的夜晚，你能否重新站起来，

为孩子们做些需要的事情。

你是谁、何以成为现在的你，我不关心；

我想知道，你是否会同我一起站在火焰的中心，

毫不退缩。

你在哪里受的教育、学了什么或者同谁一起学习，我不关心；

我想知道，当一切都背弃了你时，是什么在内心支撑着你；

你能否孤独地面对你自己，

是否真正喜欢你在空虚时结交的伙伴。

对了，听了昨天的朗读——季羡林先生的《月是故乡明》后，不少小伙伴纷纷发消息向我表示祝贺。

原来，今天高考语文试卷的全国卷II的作文题目是根据给出的古诗句进行立意，其中就有杜甫的名句“露从今夜白,月是故乡明”。

也就是说，我不小心押中了作文题目，如果能对参加高考的小伙伴们有一点点帮助那真是太好了。明天还有一天，考生们继续加油！
